Certification of Arms: Sir Stanley De Astel Calvert Clarke 1890

The auctioneer Busby of Bridport are offering for sale the 1890 Certification of Arms & Pedigree of Stanley De Astel Calvert Clarke on the 21st November 2019.  The Certification was done by Henry Farnham Burke, then Somerset Herald.

The auctioneer’s estimate is £80-£120.

Arms: Gules a bear rampant ermine gorged with an eastern crown Or between three mullets pierced Argent.
Crest: A bear as in Arms gorged with a Naval Crown Or line reflexed over the back Gules supporting a battleaxe erect proper.
Motto: Sans Changer

The pedigree includes Clarke’s Arms impaled with the Arms of his wife, Mary Temple Rose, the daughter of Sir John Rose, 1st Baronet.

Arms: Or a boar’s head couped Gules armed and langued Azure between three water bougets Sable on a chief of the second three maple leaves of the first.
