Grant of Arms: William Lavington Marchant 1864

Auctioneers J.P.Humbert’s sale on 5th October 2017 includes the Grant of Arms to William Lavington Marchant (b.1828 d.1889) of Freshford in the County of Somerset and of Mannanarie in the County of Stanley, South Australia.  The Letters Patent also state that the Arms extend to other descendants of his late father, also named William Lavington Marchant.

Auctioneer’s estimate £50 – £80 with the starting bid set at £30.

Grant of Arms: Joseph Pyke 1891

Back in February 2015 Dix Noonan Webb offered for sale, by auction, the Grant of Arms to Joseph Pyke, of Devonshire Place House, Portland Place in the Parish of Marylebone and Beacon Lodge, Chatham Hill, Kent.  Joseph Pike was a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Farriers and his father, Lewis Eleazar Pyke, was the Minister and Secretary to the Great Synagogue, Duke’s Place.
