eBay vendor, GalleryOFF5th, is offering for sale the 1922 Grant of Arms & Badge to George Elkington (b.1851 d.1939) of St Aubyn’s, Woodborough Road, Putney & of Norfolk House, Laurence Pountney Hill, City of London.

Arms: Per chevron Sable and Or in chief two towers and in base an elk’s head caboshed counterchanged.
Crest: An elk Sable antlers Or resting the dexter foreleg upon a tun gold.
Motto: Arte Et Labore

Badge: Upon an Ionic column Or an Elk’s head affronte couped at the neck Dable.

  • The tun in the crest might be a nod to the fact that George was a member of the Worshipful Company of Coopers.
