Grant of Arms: Alan Stevenson 1865

Auctioneers Lyon & Turnbull have recently sold the 1865 Grant of Arms to the famous lighthouse engineer, Alan Stevenson of Pitt Street, Portobello.

The sale price was GBP 9,072 (inclusive of the buyer’s premium).

Arms: Argent on a chevron between two fleurs de lys in chief Azure and a lighthouse in base proper three mullets of the field.

Crest: A dexter hand holding a wreath of laurel proper.

Motto: Ceolum Non Solum

Dated: 7th April 1865
