Drusilla Armitage was a member of the Heraldry Society and the White Lion Society. The notes attached to her entry at the White Lion Society have the following rationale for her Arms:
“The design is a mixture of Miss Armitage’s father’s arms (Gules, a lion’s head erased between three cross crosslets argent) and those of her mother, who came from the old Leicestershire family of Pochin (Or, a chevron gules between three horseshoes sable).”
