Grant of Arms: Joseph Storey 1888

Auctioneers Charlton Hall Galleries of West Columbia, South Carolina are offering for sale the Grant of Arms to Joseph Storey of Great Waltham, co. Essex.  The auction is 22/23 February 2018 with an estimate of US$200-$400.

Arms: Per fesse Azure and Gules a lion rampant argent between two bees volant in chief Or and a fountain in base proper.
Crest: A lion rampant proper holding in the dexter forepaw two cross crossets fitchee saltirewise Sable and resting the dexter hind-paw on a fountain as in the Arms.
Motto: Amor Justitlae
Dated: 4 April 1888

Garter: Sir Albert William Woods
Clarenceux: Walter Aston Blount

This Grant was previously put up for auction on 20 July 2017.

  1. This is the missing arrangement of the grant made to my great great grandfather. I’m interested to know whether it is still available to buy. I tried contacting the auctioneers without success.
