Grant of Arms: Reginald Walter John Hewson 1975

Aldridges of Bath auction on 25th May are offering Lot 88A, the Grant of Arms to Reginald Walter John Hewson B.Sc(Engg) dated 5th July 1975.  Reginald Hewson was the resident engineer at the Ncora Dam in South Africa. Auctioneer’s estimate £70-£100.

Arms: Azure a swan’s head erased in the beak a fish proper on a chief Or a pair of calipers open points downward between two pairs of dividers open points upward proper.
Crest: A demi tiger guardant proper holding in the paws a pair of dividers open with the points upward Or.
Motto: Honesta Peto (I seek honourable things)

The Grant is signed by Anthony R Wagner (Garter), J R B Walker (Clarenceux) and Walter J Verco (Norroy & Ulster).
